IKEA Wardrobe For A Studio Apartment

Let's talk closet, shall we. I moved into this studio apartment. I love love love it. It's a dream. I have a small space I can completely customize and I've had so much fun slowly getting everything in place. I plan to give you a full tour soon enough but for now, here is ONE of my closets. Yes, one of the two.

Once I got my couch and bed in place, I had this space in between. I wasn't sure what to do with it. Add a bar cart? Ooooh. That would be fun! But, not really practical. Add more seating? Yes, that could work but who wants to sit BEHIND the couch? Eh. Okay, maybe not. I knew I would eventually figure it out and I did once I got all my clothes and shoes moved in. I needed more space to organize and fit those items, for sure.

I ventured to IKEA and after some measuring, pricing and thinking through how the storage would be used I decide on the BRIMNES Wardobe. It's at a wonderful price point AND it offered a full length mirror which was on my list of things I needed for the apartment. Boom! Two birds, one stone.

I moved in some clothes and have found this a dream to have the extra space. I had a pretty fun time organizing it too! I'm a bit of a weirdly anal OCD person on how my clothes are organized. This extra piece definitely help me scratch that itch.

Let's take a look at the right side. I think eventually I'll do some organizing with some dividers and bins of some kind. Not exactly sure what that looks like. I like implementing "systems" with my clothes and accessories. That sometimes takes me just living in a space to figure out where I drop things and where things fit for easy access, etc. That way anything I use or wear always finds it way back home. Weird? Yeah, probably.

This little closet gem needed a little add-on for some necklaces that wouldn't fit on my necklace holder. A quick run to Target (HAHAHA does that exist?) and I popped two of these bad boys right there on the door. It's worked so well! Command hooks for the win!

Well, that was quite intimate, wasn't it? Now you've seen my closet. I feel like we are so close. Jokes. This is the internet. I just like showing off my closet to anyone who wants to see it.

More to come! Possibly closet #1.
